Asparagus and pea pasta

This year when a favourite vegetable comes into season I want to be able to make the most of it, after missing out last year. Do you also flick through your recipe books and figure out what to try? Do you do the same for blogs? I didn’t, but they’re a great resource when used with Google Reader (I admit I haven’t tried any others).

The recipe for tonight’s dinner comes from the blog of the excellent Rachel Eats, a blogger who’s making the most of the Italian markets in Rome. Lucky wotsit. I made do with frozen petit pois, but I can only imagine what it would be like with fresh peas and even a dollop I creamy ricotta.
